Genetic Map
Name:
2000 Brasília×6274 RAPD(T) Bsb
Description:
The mapping population comprised a sub-set of 112 F₂ individuals obtained from a cross between ‘Brasília-1252’ (a line with heat tolerance as well as resistance to root-knot nematodes Meloidogyne javanica, M. incognita, M. arenaria, and to the fungus Alternaria dauci) and '6274B' (an inbred line adapted to the Northern Hemisphere). A genetic linkage map of carrot (Daucus carota) was constructed based solely on random amplified polymorphic DNA (RAPD) markers.
This map represents the linkage groups of the female parent ‘Brasília-1252’. Genetic distances between adjacent markers were estimated using Kosambi function.
The map is composed of 58 RAPD markers. The total map length is 636.7 cM in 12 linkage groups.
