Name:
Kalopanax septemlobus strain:embryogenic callus Transcriptome or Gene expression
Short Description:
Kalopanax septemlobus is a woody species widely distributed in northeast Asia. Its edible leaf, shoot and bark have been used as an important traditional medicine. Although the reproducible somatic embryogenesis (SE) for the mass production of this species has been established, little is known about molecular characteristics during SE process, especially at the transcriptome level. In this study, Roche 454-pyrosequencing technology was used to generate transcriptomics resources and identify the genes involved in somatic embryogenesis.
